Bicycling, Witnessing, Fellowship!

As a ministry of First Baptist Church of Valentine, our goal is to promote free cycling events in the community. We hope to build relationships among the young and the old, the poor and the rich, people of different races and ethnicities, the privileged and the ‘least and lost.’”

We believe bicycling is for everybody and in sharing this healthy, planet friendly activity we believe we can bring our community closer to the vision entrusted to us by our Creator…and we have a lot of FUN!

Ministry Activities

Fellowship rides – join us for a leisurely, (no one left behind), ride around Valentine. Rides start and finish from the church parking lot. (This is a seasonal event – check the church’s Facebook page for information on scheduled rides).

Bicycle Rodeo – (for children ages 4-11) – No rodeo planned at this time.

Community Bike ShopReopens on Saturday May 4th!

The bike shop operates on a “free-will offering” model to cover the cost of repairs and can handle most basic bike repairs on both kids and adult bikes. The bike shop will be open on Saturdays from 8-10am, (May through August), or you can call 402-250-4188 and arrange an appointment.

In addition, the bike shop offers a mentoring program that teaches basic bike maintenance and repair where kids who may not have bikes can, through “earned equity,” restore a bike that becomes theirs when finished. If you have used bikes and would like to donate them to the ministry, please email the church at admin@fbcvalentine.com. Anyone interested in getting a child into the mentoring program should contact pastortim@fbcvalentine.com for more details.
