Hi, my name is Tim Wilkinson and I was called to pastor First Baptist Church in August 2022. I am originally from upstate New York but after a 22 year career in the US Air Force, I retired with my family to La Vista, NE where I lived for the past 17 years. I have two adult children who both live in Omaha.

My wife, Natalia, and I love the city of Valentine and the surrounding sandhills. We love meeting new people and we hope to meet you soon!

I enjoy reading and spending time outdoors but if you really want to get my attention, mention bicycles. I’m an avid cyclist and have completed several multi-day rides, including trips across Nebraska and a ride to Yellowstone National Park.

I Completed my seminary studies with an MDiv from the Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

My favorite scripture verse is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
